About me I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York City.
My university background is in clinical and cross-cultural psychology and was strongly inspired by psychoanalysis. I decided to specialize in systemic family therapy and in trauma treatment. I am also trained in EMDR (Eyes Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing.) I worked for ten years as a Mental Health Counselor in police departments with adults, teens and families in Paris, France. My clients came with various concerns:
In New York City, I have been leading psycho-education groups in a psychiatry unit at Bellevue Hospital. I also interpret psychotherapy sessions (French-English) at the Bellevue/NYU Program for Survivors Of Torture. I opened my private practice as I want to continue this fascinating and inspiring work of helping people to improve their quality of life and their well being. |
My approach |
The therapeutic environment is designed to make the patient feel safe, confident, and free to express thoughts, feelings and a genuine self.
I describe my therapy practice as integrative. I am inspired by psychoanalysis and systems theory. However I don't hesitate to use tools from other therapeutic approaches, if it may benefit the patients. |
